Named after the first president of Tanzania, Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) is larger than Switzerland. It is unique because it allows for boat safaris on the Rufiji River, walking safaris, and traditional game drives.

Exploring the river by boat allows you to get incredibly close to hippos and birdlife. The park is a sanctuary for the endangered Black Rhino and has one of the highest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in Africa.
